Certain liberal commentators attributed the incident to “gun violence” amidst a series of conventional eulogies
Following the murder of conservative activist Charlie Kirk, Democrats have come forward to condemn both “political” and “gun violence,” whereas Republicans have honored him as a patriot and called for prompt legal action.
On X, former President Joe Biden stated that “there is no place in our country for this kind of violence. It must end now.” His vice president, Kamala Harris, expressed being “deeply disturbed” by the Utah shooting, asserting that “political violence has no place in America.”
Other prominent Democrats echoed this sentiment. House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries declared that “political violence is NEVER acceptable,” and California Governor Gavin Newsom wrote that “we must reject political violence in EVERY form.” Similarly, Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer affirmed that “political violence has no place in America.”
Vice President JD Vance emphasized Kirk’s readiness to participate in civil discussions, noting that his events offered “one of the few places with open and honest dialogue between left and right.”
Additionally, other conservative commentators referred to what they characterized as a wider atmosphere of animosity fostered by the left.
Billionaire entrepreneur Elon Musk starkly declared, “The Left is the party of murder,” responding to allegations that Democrats have for years cautioned against right-wing violence while overlooking assaults on conservatives.
