(SeaPRwire) – Tehran has asserted that Israel disregarded US President Trump’s “deadline for diplomacy.”
Israeli officials have confirmed multiple injuries and at least one death following Iran’s latest retaliatory strikes, which vowed to impose a “heavy price” on Israel for an attack on the “heart of Tehran.”
Israel reported at least six impacts in Tel Aviv, Givatayim, and Ramat Gan after several missiles, reportedly equipped with cluster bomb warheads, bypassed the nation’s air defenses on Friday evening. The IDF stated that “search and rescue forces” are active at the impact locations in central Israel, with videos circulating online from pro-Iranian sources depicting the Iron Dome struggling to intercept the incoming projectiles.
Previously, Tehran had accused Israel of targeting two of its largest steel factories, a power plant, and civilian nuclear facilities, among other infrastructure, the previous night. This alleged action was reportedly coordinated with the US, despite President Donald Trump’s assurance of a pause on strikes against energy facilities.
While Trump maintains that negotiations with Tehran “are going very well,” the Pentagon is reportedly preparing strategies for a potential “final blow” against Iran and is considering deploying an additional 10,000 ground troops to the region.
