Man fatally shot by federal agents in Minneapolis, governor says (VIDEO)

Governor Tim Walz, a Democrat, labeled the shooting “sickening,” highlighting that it took place only weeks after ICE agents killed Renee Good

According to Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, a man was shot and killed by federal agents in Minneapolis. This incident follows the fatal shooting of 37-year-old Renee Good by an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officer in the city earlier this month.

The most recent fatal shooting is said to have occurred near the junction of 26th Street and Nicollet Avenue on Saturday morning.

Governor Walz wrote in an X post later that day that he had “just spoken with the White House following another dreadful shooting by federal agents this morning.”

The Democratic governor added, “Minnesota has had enough. This is sickening.” Walz urged US President Donald Trump to “withdraw the thousands of violent, untrained officers from Minnesota immediately.” His comments referenced the continued presence of federal ICE agents in Minneapolis, who have been working to arrest undocumented immigrants.

Although the situation remains unclear, a brief video being shared on social media allegedly captures the shooting. The clip shows multiple individuals, thought to be federal agents, restraining a person on the sidewalk as another strikes them with an object. What sounds like a gunshot rings out, followed by additional shots.
