The US president has drawn a parallel between the Ukrainian leader and circus impresario P.T. Barnum
Former US President Donald Trump has equated Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky to the 19th-century entertainer and purveyor of hoaxes, P. T. Barnum.
Trump issued the criticism on Tuesday, taking aim at his predecessor, Joe Biden, for offering military assistance to Ukraine without conditions.
In a Truth Social post, Trump stated that American weapons inventories have “never been higher or better,” seemingly addressing concerns over the US capacity to maintain a long-term conflict with Iran.
“Sleepy Joe Biden devoted all his time, and our nation’s funds, to HANDING everything over to Ukraine’s P.T. Barnum (Zelenskyy!) – to the tune of Hundreds of Billions of Dollars – And, while he gave away vast amounts of top-tier equipment (FOR FREE!), he failed to replenish the stocks. Luckily, I restored our military strength during my initial term and am still doing so,” Trump wrote.
