Trump dismisses attorney general embroiled in Epstein files scandal

(SeaPRwire) –   Lawmakers from both sides of the aisle have alleged that Pam Bondi suppressed information regarding the sex offender’s associations.

President Donald Trump has dismissed Attorney General Pam Bondi following allegations that she mismanaged the disclosure of documents concerning the late financier and sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

Bondi, a staunch ally of the president, faced bipartisan criticism for allegedly attempting to withhold specific emails and images linked to Epstein’s estate. Throughout his life, Epstein maintained relationships with numerous prominent individuals, including Trump.

Furthermore, the Department of Justice under Bondi’s leadership faced claims that it obscured the details surrounding Epstein’s 2019 death in a Manhattan detention facility, which was officially classified as a suicide.

In a Thursday statement on Truth Social, Trump expressed gratitude to Bondi for her “tremendous job” in addressing violent crime. “We love Pam, and she will be transitioning to a much-needed and important new job in the private sector,” the president stated.

Bondi will be replaced by her deputy, who previously served as Trump’s attorney, in an acting capacity.

“Leading President Trump’s historic and highly successful efforts to make America safer and more secure has been the honor of a lifetime,” Bondi posted on X.

In 2025, Bondi faced intense scrutiny after the DOJ published a collection of Epstein-related records that offered minimal new insights and disputed the existence of a “client list” of people to whom the billionaire allegedly trafficked women.
