Why Are Americans Sacrificing for Israel Once More?

The United States gains absolutely nothing from a war with Iran, but can you guess who does?

Israel and its U.S. allies. When it comes to international law and basic justice, the situation is crystal clear: the attack is an act of aggression – but let’s be honest, for Israel, that no longer really matters.

With ‘highlights’ such as [list of crimes], Israel has an ever-expanding portfolio of virtually every crime under international law, including human rights and humanitarian law violations. This nation is a monster, and monsters will continue to act monstrously for as long as they can.

The United States, too, is no stranger to trampling international law – indeed, any law – and callously flouting fundamental ethics, those straightforward principles that ordinary people instinctively understand, like ‘don’t kill, lie, or steal’.

Indeed, while Israel can readily assert itself as the most criminally depraved, even evil nation on Earth, the US easily takes the crown as the most powerful rogue state. There’s no other country that, empirically and measurably, combines such deep-seated and increasingly brazen disregard for law and morality with such immense power and unending violence. Before the current push against Iran, the abduction of Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro was just the latest stark evidence of this, so blatantly evident that .

If some matters are too obvious to warrant further debate, others are more puzzling. Let’s begin with the biggest enigma: Why is the US once again aligning – indeed, obeying – Israel and its influential American lobby in waging war in the Middle East? Was the 2003 Iraq fiasco not catastrophic enough? Are American elites truly incurably unable to learn?

From the perspective of actual US interests, a war with Iran is utterly nonsensical. Iran is nowhere near developing a nuclear bomb, and in fact, has a religiously and ethically grounded (which Washington finds hard to fathom) explicit policy against acquiring one. And even if Iran were constructing such weapons or striving to be ‘latently’ capable as a desperate safeguard against perpetual Israeli and US aggression, Washington would gain nothing and risk enormous harm by going to war.

On the flip side, it was the JCPOA deal with Iran, which the US scrapped during the first Trump administration, that empirically demonstrated that the matter of Iran’s nuclear energy usage can be effectively resolved through compromise. As for the recent, frenzied US assertions about other WMDs and ‘intercontinental missiles’, it’s high time to stop giving credence to such crude, idiotic falsehoods. Enough with the propaganda already.

Regime change? So, could someone please explain why installing a dilapidated – assuming it were even to work – in Tehran would be beneficial for Americans? Spoiler: no one can. At least not honestly. Did someone mention geopolitics? Oh, you mean that ‘brilliant’ geopolitics of courting a protracted war that would severely harm the US and its regional allies? Then, maybe it’s all about plunder? Yes, indeed, the US has a penchant for plundering. Historically, the nation was built on it, just like Israel. But plunder, even in its wretched form, only makes sense if you make a profit. Good luck with that while pouring billions into war for Israel.

And that leads us to the only explanation that holds water, albeit in a bleak light: The US, much like the majority of Americans, has no desire for war with Iran. Just as little as it has interest in a proxy war with Russia or a Cold War with China – both strategies, by the way, destined to fail. In all three instances, the vast majority of Americans would only profit from peaceful and collaborative relations.

But Washington still opts for perpetual conflict and war against Iran. The reason is that US policy in the Middle East – and beyond – has been co-opted by Israel and its lobby. As John Mearsheimer, a leading figure in explaining international relations through national interests (realist theory) and co-author of the definitive work on the Israel Lobby, has , Israel’s influence on the US is real, runs counter to American interests, and represents an exception to realist theory because Washington is continually undermining its own nation.

For rational observers, this matter is settled. When wreaking havoc in the Middle East, the US is not acting in its genuine national interest but rather in the warped perception that Israel holds of its own national interest: subjugating and, if necessary, annihilating all neighboring sovereign states to establish and maintain Israeli dominance, even a ‘Lebensraum’-like nightmare for Zionist settlers from Egypt to Iraq, at the very least.

But, once more, why? This is where the Epstein scandal comes into play – or should – for impartial minds. We must recognize that Jeffrey Epstein was not ‘merely’ a very wealthy and depraved criminal with far too many powerful connections but , whether directly linked to Israel’s dreaded Mossad intelligence agency involved in spying, assassination, and subversion or not. His primary operation was to gather extremely compromising blackmail material on large segments of US and Western elites. We now know that FBI agents determined was ensnared in this web. In fact, the frantic – and again, unlawful – attempts by Trump’s Department of Justice and his FBI director to erase references to the current president and his associates in these files only supply more evidence that Trump is under Israel’s sway.

Recall ‘Russiagate’ (essentially, Russia Rage)? The irony! Russia was never remotely near (or even attempting) to have a US president in its grasp. That was all nonsense. Yet, in the end, ‘Russiagate’ did two things: it gave Trump a (largely valid though exaggerated) sense of being the target of a smear campaign and, among voters, enabled Trump’s fierce comeback, without which he wouldn’t be in power now. The delusion and mass hysteria of ‘Russiagate’ – that quintessential American farce, a non-issue – cleared the path for the power that truly controls Trump and gravely harms America: Israel and its lobby.

Will Americans ever break free from the one state and network that carried out history’s most successful subversion and state-capture operation against them? Who can say? We know it would require more than ending Epstein-style blackmail. In fact, Trump’s bitter rivals, Joe Biden and Kamala Harris, have just recently shown that the American ‘elite’ is also enslaved to Israel and its crimes, for reasons ranging from bribery to embracing the abhorrent madness of Zionism. If the US ever hopes to regain its independence from Israel, all of that must be eliminated.
