3 ‘wanted’ men nabbed on separate operations in Cebu, Negros Oriental

A MAN wanted for allegedly raping the granddaughter of his brother was arrested by operatives of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) Cebu Provincial Field Unit (PFU) in the City of Naga on Monday afternoon, October 3, 2022.

The warrant for his arrest was issued by Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 12-Family Court Judge Albie Carmelo Pescadero in the City of Naga.

No bail was recommended.

CIDG Cebu PFU chief Major Nazarino Emia, who served the warrant to 56-year-old Kevin (not his real name), said the sexual abuse allegedly took place in December 2021 when the child was three years old.

Her father, the husband of Kevin’s niece, filed a case against him for allegedly violating Republic Act (RA) 7610, or the Child Abuse Law.

The Philippine National Police considered Kevin to be the sixth most wanted person in Cebu and the most wanted person in the municipality level.

Also on Monday, Cebu’s second most wanted person who is facing a case for qualified rape was arrested by operatives of the CIDG Negros Oriental PFU in Barangay Daro, Dumaguete City.

The bench warrant served by Lieutenant Colonel Joel Caise, chief of the CIDG Negros Oriental PFU, to 40-year-old Eric (not his real name) was issued by RTC Branch 86 Judge Fruto Garcia Teodorico III in Mandaue City.

Eric reportedly failed to attend several hearings.

Operatives of the CIDG Negros Oriental PFU also arrested a father accused of raping his two underage daughters in Purok Lumboy, Barangay Inapoy in the town of Mabinay on Sunday, October 2.

Justin (not his real name) is reportedly the most wanted person in his hometown of Sibulan.

According to Caise, the accused is facing three counts of rape.

Three warrants for Ivan’s arrest was issued by RTC Branch 13-Family Court Judge Leah Partosa Villarubia in Dumaguete City.
