MORE than ₱300,000 worth of properties were razed by the fire in Sitio Tabok Canal, Barangay Basak San Nicolas, Cebu City on Thursday, May 18, 2023.
The fire alarm was reported at 11:59 a.m.. It was later placed under control at 12:17 p.m. and declared fire out after five minutes.
According to Senior Fire Officer 3 Wendell Villanueva, spokesman of the Cebu City Fire Office, the fire started at the house of a certain Roberto Tradio, which resulted in the destruction of three other houses.
Jaypee Tradio, one of the owners of the burnt property, told SunStar Cebu that he was rushing home from work when his son called him via messenger to inform him that their house was on fire.
But when he arrived, their house was already gone.
Tradio, however, said he was thankful that his children were safe. (BBT, TPT)
