ENTREPRENEUR Eleanor Velasco is taking a leap of faith by launching Skin911 Medical to offer beauty enhancement services amid the pandemic.
On Monday, Oct. 25, 2021, the Skin911 Group Inc. opened Skin911 Medical at the basement 1 of Ayala Center Cebu, signaling the group’s venture into the high-end beauty and wellness services and in preparation for the full economic rebound.
“We have conducted a feasibility study for this new venture, especially that we are located in a mall. Many have questioned our move to open a business in a still pandemic-stricken environment but more than the challenges, I see this as a preparation in the post-pandemic recovery,” said Velasco, betting on the country’s vaccination rollout and the strict compliance of health protocols.
“This pandemic will not last long,” she added.
At the height of the pandemic, Velasco said they lost five Skin911 branches. Now the brand maintains 26 branches, including franchised ones.
“It has been a difficult season for us, especially since we are not an essential business, but again, there is no other way but up. While our branches were closed, we continued selling beauty products online. We are really thankful for our loyal customers who stayed with us because they have kept the business running,” said Velasco.
Cebu City has been placed by the government’s Covid-19 Task Force under the Alert Level 2 category.
Under this category, personal care establishments are allowed to cater only to fully vaccinated customers at 50 percent venue capacity for indoor setup and 70 percent for outdoor. Employees of these establishments must be fully vaccinated as well.

It offers services like facial (venus, emperor, vampire, Korean and aqua peel), ulthera, HIFU, sexy (S) Shape, emsculpt, triple diode laser, pico ultra, CO2 fraxie, sclerotherapy, botox, fillers, rhinoplasty, liposuction, tummy tuck and fox eye.
