TALISAY City Vice Mayor Alan Bucao is ready to relinquish his residency should he lose the mayoral race this May.Bucao issued this statement during his interview with MyTV Cebu’s Andiscoveries.“If ever di ko tagaan og higayon sa akong mga igsuong Talisaynon, definitely mobiya na ko sa Talisay, as a resident,” Bucao said during the interview.Bucao is challenging reelectionist Mayor Gerald Anthony “Samsam” Gullas Jr. for the post of mayor.Bucao claimed that he is the “last person who will defend the residents of Talisay and uphold their interest.”He believes that even if he will leave Talisay City for good if defeated, it won’t be the end of his political career.“Kay mosugot ka ug sa dili, politiko gani ka, bisag wa na ka sa imong pagkapolitiko, inig human sa eleksyon anhaon gyud ka,” Bucao said. (Whether you like it or not, people will still look for you even if you are no longer in politics.)Before becoming a politician in Talisay, Bucao grew up in Barangay Day-as in Cebu City.
