(UPDATED) An early evening fire hits three sitios in Barangay Punta Princesa, Cebu City on Saturday, June 11, 2022.Based on an initial report provided by the Cebu City Fire Office (CCFO), the fire first started in Sitio Tuburan, Barangay Punta Princesa at 5:53 p.m.The fire reportedly started at the house of a certain Jocelyn Daniel. The fire was first placed on first alarm around 5:58 p.m. and was eventually raised to second alarm around 6:08 p.m.Around 6:53 p.m., firefighters had to raise it to a general alarm as the fire had spread to two other sitios. Under the Bureau of Fire Protection’s hierarchy of fire alarm levels, a general alarm is raised if the fire has affected a major part of the area. If a general alarm is raised, all firefighting units including supporting fire trucks from other fire districts could be dispatched to assist.As of press time, firefighters are still trying to control the blaze and to account all of the affected households.
