Lapu to do vaxxing in subdivisions

THERE will be no more need of pre-registration for residents of subdivisions and barangays that will be visited by Lapu-Lapu City vaccinators to bring the service closer to the people.

Thus said Lapu-Lapu City Mayor Junard Chan who announced that vaccinators will do the rounds in some villages to be able to inoculate more residents.

Chan said priority will still be given to senior citizens (A2) and persons with disabilities in those villages.

This approach to the Covid-19 vaccination program was devised by the City to bring Lapu-Lapu closer to its target of acquiring herd immunity before the end of 2021.

Chan said the city’s vaccination sites are also not that busy anymore.

On Wednesday, Aug. 25, 2021, personnel from the City Health Office will visit Collinwood Subdivision in Barangay Basak to vaccinate residents there and those from surrounding areas.

Chan said for those who plan to be vaccinated in the City’s regular vaccination sites, online registration would be required to access a QR code for their number and schedule. (GCM)
