Loman, Belingon, Abelardo see action in ONE Championship Nov. 19

FILIPINO warriors Stephen Loman, Kevin Belingon and Mark Abelardo are seeing action in two different ONE Championship shows today at the Singapore Indoor Stadium in Singapore.

Team Lakay fighters Loman and Belingon will be fighting in the morning event, ONE Fight Night, while Fil-Kiwi Abelardo will be in the evening show, ONE 163 – Akimoto vs. Petchtanong.

The 26-year-old Loman takes on his stiffest test to date against former ONE bantamweight king Bibiano Fernandes.

Since signing with ONE Championship, Loman won his first two fights in the organization, scoring a first round knockout of Yusup Saadulaev and a unanimous decision over Shoko Sato.

Fernandes just recently lost his ONE bantamweight belt after losing to John Lineker via a second round knockout. He needs a win over a fast-rising prospect in Loman if he wants to get a title shot.

The 42-year-old Fernandes is still the No. 3 ranked bantamweight.

Loman is 16-2, while Fernandes is 24-5.

One the other hand, Belingon, also a former ONE bantamweight titleholder, slugs it out with South Korean Kim Jae Woong.

Belingon lost his last four contests — twice to Fernandes and once to Lineker and Kwon Won Il.

Kim is also in a slump himself, losing back-to-back fights to ONE featherweight champion Tang Kai and Shamil Gasanov.

Belingon is 20-9, while Kim is 12-6.

Meanwhile, Abelardo locks horns with Kwon.

Abelardo is looking to bounce back after losing his last fight to Chen Rui by unanimous decision last Feb. 11.

Kwon is also coming off a loss against No. 1 bantamweight contender Fabricio Andrade via a first round stoppage.

Abelardo is 20-8, while Kwon, the No. 3 ranked bantamweight, is 11-3.
