A MAN was electrocuted when he touched a live wire while trying to access a connection cable in Barangay Masaba, Danao City in northern Cebu on Saturday night, February 25, 2023.
The victim was identified as Jenlo Barber Castro, a 22-year-old resident of Purok Toong-Dancar, Barangay Dunggoan in the same city.
Castro was pronounced dead on arrival at the Cebu Provincial Hospital-Danao City.
His companion, 21-year-old John Berth Jimenez Arive, a resident of Sitio Ylaya, Barangay Guinacot in the same city, suffered burns in parts of his body.
According to Staff Sergeant Gerome Pesidas of the Danao City Police Station, Castro and Arive were in the area to fix the internet connection when the incident happened around 8 p.m. (GPL / PJB)
