MIXED Martial Arts (MMA) is back in Cebu on Saturday, June 25, 2022, as Prime Fight Championship (PFC) 2 – “Exodus” showcases an explosive show that features some of the most promising fighters in the Queen City of the South.Hard-hitting Rhyle Lugo takes on experienced Urtych Alarin in the main event, ONE Warrior Series fighters Allan Albindo and Mark Cuizon slug it out in the co-main event at the Mabolo Sports Complex.Lugo, who fights out of Vagabond MMA, was 1.6 pounds overweight in his first attempt after weighing in at 148.6 pounds. He had to shed off the excess baggage and finally made weight at 147 pounds in his second try. Alarin easily made weight and was two pounds below the limit at 145 pounds.Lugo has been very promising so far in his career breezing through the competition in the amateur ranks. He’ll be tested against an experienced fighter in Alarin, who has fought in the pro ranks and in the country’s biggest MMA organization, the URCC.Alarin, who fights out of Butuan Xtreme has fought the likes of former ONE Championship fighter Jimmy Yabo and ex-URCC featherweight king Ricardo Sapno.Alarin has a 3-3 record in pro MMA.On the other hand, Albindo and Cuizon both competed in ONE Championship’s developmental league – ONE Warrior Series.Albindo campaigned in the ONE Warrior Series in 2019. He lost to Manthan Rane in his pro debut via unanimous decision. He bounced back with a third round knockout of Mohamed Arif Izzudin before suffering a close split decision to Toreq.Cuizon fought in the ONE Warrior Series a year earlier than Albindo. He suffered a first round keylock submission loss to fellow Filipino Rockie Bactol. He won his second fight with a unanimous decision over Ismael Bandiwan before losing to Detchadin Sorsirisuphatin by unanimous decision.Albindo is 1-2, while Cuizon also has an identical pro record of 1-2 record but is 4-1 as an amateur ranks.Both Albindo and Cuizon easily made weight at 124 pounds.In the MMA undercard, Francis Pasayloon locks horns with Francis Quilaquiga, Benjie Burlaos takes on EJ Patron, Marvin Verano is up against Tim Rama and John Mark Cordura squares off with Jalanie Sumagayan.In the Kickboxing undercard, Norman Yrastorza trades leathers with Sunny John Omnos, Clythe Ang slugs it out with Brian Don Alexandra Villarin in 139-pound female fight, Marcos Congmon faces Justin Laganhon.The show also features two Brazilian Jiu-jitsu matches – MMA veterans Arnel Ylanan and Niño Rio Saoy are up against each other, while Jason Mores faces MMA fighter Jestoni Borres.
