PRO 7 hauls P105M in shabu, arrests 7 drug pushers

THE Police Regional Office in Central Visayas (PRO 7) seized more than P105 million worth of illegal drugs and arrested seven drug personalities in separate drug operations on Saturday, June 25, 2022.The operations happened in the cities of Talisay, Toledo and Lapu-Lapu in Cebu, and in the town of Bacong in Negros Oriental.Anti-narcotics operatives seized a total of 15.45 kilos of shabu from the suspects.PRO 7 Director Brig. Gen. Roque Eduardo Vega lauded his operating teams for their unrelenting efforts in the campaign against illegal drugs, saying the seizure of large quantities of illegal drugs from high-value drug personalities could lead to a major setback for groups behind the illegal drug trade in Central Visayas.Can’t escape lawVega also warned drug personalities that the PRO 7 will continue to look for them as they cannot escape the law.On Saturday morning, the biggest haul took place in Barangay Poblacion, Lapu-Lapu City where several units from the police, coast guard and the Armed Forces jointly arrested Eric Bacalso Felisilda, 46, and Neil James Plaza Vallesquina, 28.The suspects yielded 15 kilos of shabu worth P102 million.Felisilda hails from Tagbilaran City, Bohol while Vallesquina comes from Dasmariñas, Cavite.Police had monitored the suspects before their arrest. The suspects were reportedly linked to a drug pusher who was caught last June 13. Felisilda and Vallesquina reportedly sourced their illegal drugs from someone in Metro Manila.Other operationsIn the other operations in Cebu, operatives caught John Maverick Gabisay, 20, in Barangay Tangke, Talisay City, Gabisay’s alleged cohort May Faith Vinculado, 25, in Barangay San Roque, Toledo City City, and John Roderick Autencio Sollano, 42, and Rutchen Baliguat Buglosa, 39, in Barangay Don Andres Soriano, Toledo City.Police seized a total of 150 grams of shabu worth P1.02 million from Gabisay and Vinculado, and 100.12 grams worth P680,816 from Sollano and Buglosa.In Bacong, Negros Oriental, anti-narcotics operatives arrested Crisanto Ang Sayre, 42. The suspect yielded 200 grams of shabu with a value of P1.36 million.Suspects will be charged for violating Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, which punishes selling of illegal drugs.
