Stalls for Lavo Seaside vendors to be completed in October 2021

Once renovation of the Lavo Seaside area is concluded, Cebu2World Development Inc. (C2W) will then concentrate its construction efforts on Carbon’s Unit 1 where 544 stalls for the city’s ambulant vendors will be placed

AROUND 300 stalls being constructed for vendors of the Landing Vendors Organization (Lavo) Seaside at the Carbon Public Market will be completed before the end of October 2021.

Irvin Caballes, Cebu City Market Administrator, made the announcement before Lavo members on Tuesday, Oct. 12, 2021.

“The construction of stalls for our ambulant vendors is still ongoing. But compared to the previous months when some vendors are still opposing the construction, we now have the full support of all vendors which has helped in speeding up the construction aspect,” Caballes said, in Cebuano.

Julito Samarita, Lavo vice president, welcomed the construction of their new stalls by Cebu2World Development Inc. (C2W), which is contracted to build the new Carbon Public Market.

Samarita said they also saw that the developers were sympathetic to the vendors, adding that C2W implemented renovation works and did not demolish their old stalls.

Cabales added that once renovation of the Lavo Seaside area is concluded, C2W will then concentrate its construction efforts on Carbon’s Unit 1 where 544 stalls for the city’s ambulant vendors will be placed. (PAC / JKV)
