Utzurrum: Converge: A purple ICT invasion

A purple invasion in Cebu? Absolutely! It has launched its purple ICT (Information and Communication Technology) project in our Queen City! Leading fiber internet services provider Converge Solutions Inc., with its high speed fiber broadband service, is now in the Visayas.

The twin blessings were the opening of its regional corporate office and Mandaue business center. In an impressive ceremony, the country’s only pure end-to-end fiber provider heralded its purple entry with a topnotch ribbon-cutting rite at Oakridge IT Center, Tower 2 at Oakridge Business Park in Mandaue City with Mandaue City Mayor Jonas Cortes; commercial tycoons; Steven Yu, president, Mandaue Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MCCI); and Felix Taguiam, president, Cebu Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI) lending their presence.

Proudly, Converge chief executive officer and co-founder Dennis Anthony Uy said: “We’ve already hit the ground running when we had our soft opening in Cebu last November. Considering operating only in Cebu and Mandaue cities on a limited scale, our sales figures have indicated thousands of subscribers and established partnerships with small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and clients.”

“Further, this is all part of the broader ‘Go National strategy,’ with Converge’s Fiber optic cables having landed in Cebu last April, and with three landing points on the island: San Remigio, Bogo and Naga—our domestic fiber backbone is ready to take on the pent-up demand for fiber connection in Central Philippines,” added Converge’s chief operations officer Jesus C. Romero.

The company can now offer innovative products like the FiberX Time of Day plans to the Visayas market. These plans offer speed boosts ranging from 70mbps to 800 mbps at pre-set times of the day, depending on customer preference. At such price points, Converge is offering the best value-for-money broadband service In the market.

Per records, since Converge’s soft launch here last November, it has already covered more than 440,000 households, spanning 48 cities and municipalities and more than a thousand barangays. For 2021, it is targeting to deploy at least 250,000 fiber ports in the Visayas.

In more ways than one, Converge cast a purple canopy of FiberX activities on our Queen City, including setting up its Business Center on Wheels, roving billboards, and sales blitzes with official mascot, Conrad! Shall we have more purple pursuits, Converge?
