Woman who files raps vs Sawang Calero cops shot dead

A WOMAN, who earlier complained against members of the Sawang Calero Police, was shot dead Monday night, April 19, 2021, in Barangay Basak Pardo, Cebu City.

Two men riding-in-tandem shot Ritchie Nepumoceno, 35, in the head.

Nepumoceno was identified by her husband, Danilo.

Danilo said before Ritchie’s death they were texting each other regarding their current situation.

“Nag text siya ganina kung madawat pa ba daw siya nako (She was texting if I can still take her back),” Danilo said.

“Ako siya giingnan nga ambot lang kay nag libog pako (I told her that I don’t know, I am still confused,” Danilo added.

To recall, Ritchie complained before the Integrity Monitoring and Enhancement Group (IMEG) Visayas Field Unit against the Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU) of Sawang Calero Police Station for robbery and rape.

Ritchie and Danilo have two children, a 15-year-old boy and 13-year-old girl.

The policemen involved in Ritchie’s complaint were relieved from their posts.

The complaint was filed against PSSg Celso Colita, PCMS Eric Edgar Emia, PCpl Rochelito Mabulay, PCpl Emmanuel Martinez, PSSg Joseph Alcoseba, PSSg Michael Rhey Cabizares, PCpl Ejill Ferrolino, PCpl Carlo Irizari, PCpl Junel Pedroza, PCpl John Carl Aceron and PCpl Georny Abrasado of Pasil Police Station under Cebu City Police Office.

The said policemen were immediately brought to the Police Regional Office 7 Holding Area Unit waiting for the filing of appropriate administrative charges.

A criminal charge has been filed for the case of robbery before the Cebu Provincial Prosecutor’s Office while Arbitrary Detention; violation against the Anti-Torture Law; Grave Coercion; Robbery; and Grave Threats were filed at Cebu City Prosecutor’s Office on March 30, 2021.(AYB/MVG)
