Fourth Global Digital Trade Expo Set to Launch in Hangzhou, China

Recognized as China’s sole national-level international professional exhibition focusing on digital trade.

HANGZHOU, China, Sept. 19, 2025 — The Fourth Global Digital Trade Expo (GDTE) is slated for September 25 to 29, 2025, at the Hangzhou Grand Convention and Exhibition Center in Hangzhou, China. The central theme for this year’s Expo is “Working Together to Make Digital Trade a New Engine for Common Development and Inject New Momentum into World Economic Growth.”

The 4th GDTE is set to showcase eight distinct exhibition zones:

  • Digital Culture & Entertainment Zone
  • Smart Mobility Zone
  • Silk Road E-Commerce Zone

  • Artificial Intelligence Zone

Complementing the exhibitions, the Expo will feature a wide-ranging program of events:

  • Eight Themed Events, such as Silk Road E-Commerce Day, BRICS Cooperation Session on Special Economic Zones, The Night of Digital Trade, and African Digital Trade Day.
  • 34 Industry, Investment, and Financing Events, including Digital Trade Venture Capital Day and various competitive activities.
  • Additional significant events emphasizing innovation, collaboration, and international interaction.

Liang Guoyong, Senior Economist at the Division on Investment and Enterprise of the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD), observed, “The Global Digital Trade Expo held in Hangzhou, China, is the world’s most important professional exhibition dedicated to digital trade.” He added, “Since its inception in 2022, the Expo has evolved into a pivotal international platform for fostering agreement on digital trade development and accelerating the growth of digital trade.”

By September 3, the 4th GDTE had secured commitments from 75 high-ranking international guests. These participants comprise 46 representatives from government bodies and international organizations spanning 21 nations, alongside 29 diplomatic and business envoys from 16 countries. Such extensive involvement highlights the Expo’s significance as a conduit for global cooperation in the digital economy.
