(Nasdaq: HIMX) (“Himax” or “Company”), a prominent supplier and fabless manufacturer of display drivers and other semiconductor products, today announced the successful integration of its WiseEye™ ultralow power AI sensing solution into Acer’s Swift Edge 14 AI series, a slender and lightweight AI notebook already undergoing mass production.

Himax’s WiseEye solution furnishes Acer’s AI notebook with sophisticated human detection and interactive awareness functionalities, including Human Presence Detection (HPD) and health alerts for extended usage or close viewing distances, as well as posture correction notifications. Additionally, it introduces a multi-screen assist feature that automatically directs the mouse cursor to the screen the user is observing, fostering a more intuitive and fluid cross-screen experience. Operating reliably at mere milliwatt (mW) power consumption, WiseEye facilitates always-on intelligent sensing to support a broad spectrum of AI applications, thereby enhancing overall system performance and user experience by precisely managing device standby and wake-up timings, significantly reducing power consumption during inactive periods and extending the device’s battery life.

It features an OLED display and boasts industry-leading 48 TOPS AI computing performance, powered by Intel’s Core Ultra 7 258V processor. On the AI front, the notebook supports the Copilot+ PC platform with a suite of integrated AI applications, providing users with innovative and highly efficient experiences for both work and entertainment.
