Mexico City, Mexico—Changan has unveiled four fully upgraded new models in Mexico—the CHANGAN ALSVIN PLUS sedan and three SUVs: the CS35 MAX, CS55 PLUS, and CS75 PLUS. This move addresses rising consumer demand for cars that blend advanced technology with efficiency.
After the unveiling, over 150 dealers, investors, and media representatives embarked on a 287-kilometer test drive across the Yucatán Peninsula for the 2026 Changan Global Testing Season. The journey from Cancún to Playa del Carmen, passing through Chiquilá and Holbox, covered highways, seaside routes, and country lanes, proving the vehicles’ stability, smart features, safety, and comfort over long distances.
Performance Meets Comfort: New Models for Every Journey
Equipped with the BlueCore 3.0 engine and a 7-speed DCT, the new CHANGAN CS55 PLUS offered agile performance throughout the drive. Its Ark Cage body construction, along with 12 intelligent safety aids such as IACC, LCC, FCW, and AEB, plus a 540° camera system, delivered confident protection on the challenging, winding jungle tracks and coastal roads.
The CS75 PLUS also incorporated an ADAS system to lessen driver strain, and its 37-inch triple-screen setup allowed for effortless use of navigation and media. Ventilated front seats maintained comfort in temperatures above 30°C, and the zero-gravity passenger seat, complete with a massage feature, increased relaxation on long journeys.
Each of the four models comes with multi-screen intelligent cockpits supporting wireless CarPlay/Android Auto, voice commands, over-the-air updates, and remote control via a smartphone app. The spacious cabins and the BlueCore 3.0 powertrain technology are also present in the Alsvin PLUS and CS35 MAX, offering a mix of driving dynamism and passenger comfort.
Growth in Action: Changan’s Local Commitment to Mexico
In 2025, Changan’s sales in Latin America surged by more than 56%, with Mexico seeing an impressive 184% increase. Regarding local infrastructure, a new parts warehouse exceeding 8,000 square meters, set to open in early 2026, will boost service capabilities and parts availability. Mexico’s role in Changan’s worldwide strategy continues to grow in importance.
This dedication was clearly evident during the Yucatán event. The driving route showcased Mexico’s famous scenery and mirrored everyday driving challenges, including changeable weather and diverse road surfaces. Changan’s broader model lineup underscores its commitment to creating vehicles that marry worldwide technological advances with regional requirements.
