Running through April 10, the festival is primarily hosted in Mawan Village, Kongse Township. During the opening ceremony, Wujin Zeren, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Daofu County Committee and Mayor of Daofu County, stated that the festival uses the blossoms as a bridge to welcome visitors. He announced the launch of “Eight Incentives” for cultural and tourism growth, “Ten Visitor-Friendly Initiatives,” and the distribution of one million yuan in tourism consumption vouchers to ensure a high-quality travel experience.

Daofu County has committed to an annual 30-million-yuan budget, effective April 1, 2026, dedicated to a special fund for integrated cultural and tourism development. This funding will support the enhancement of scenic spots, the expansion of homestays, and brand development. Additionally, the county is offering complimentary services, such as free parking throughout the region, shuttle bus services within the apricot blossom zones, and access to RV camping facilities.

During the opening event, the Federation of Automobile and Motorcycle Sports of the People’s Republic of China designated Daofu County as an “Automobile Self-Drive Sports Camp” and recognized it for its “Premium Self-Drive Tour Route.” The ceremony also marked the opening of the Daofu County Intangible Cultural Heritage Workshop, which showcases various cultural and creative goods that combine traditional craftsmanship with the local landscape.

A standout feature of the festival is the “Village Fashion Show,” which debuted on April 2 amidst the apricot trees in Mawan Village. This event challenges conventional fashion norms by merging Tibetan traditions with contemporary design. A highlight included a four-generation local family walking the runway, illustrating the intergenerational transmission of culture. The show will continue for three days, with opportunities for visitors to participate and walk the runway themselves.

Attendees can participate in ten immersive “apricot blossom” activities, such as a photography competition, a community fun run, a music party, and an intangible cultural heritage market. Furthermore, Daofu County has allocated one million yuan from its annual consumption voucher budget to provide subsidies for lodging, dining, and the purchase of cultural and creative items throughout the festival.
