Linyi and West Africa Begin Collaborative Ties

ACCRA, Ghana, Nov. 24, 2025 – Linyi Trade City, located in East China’s Shandong province, recently hosted an exhibition of quality products in Ghana in early November. This event served to foster mutually beneficial collaboration and lay the groundwork for Linyi’s expansion into the West African market.

The expo attracted thousands of professional African buyers interested in future partnerships. On-site, agreements totaling an intended value of 16.8 million yuan ($2.36 million) were signed with five Ghanaian enterprises.

Spanning a 3,000-square-meter exhibition space, the event showcased a diverse array of building materials from Linyi, Shandong province. Products included hardware and machinery, plastic goods, chemical products, construction materials, and decorative items, all specifically chosen to meet the demands of the Ghanaian market. Furthermore, the high quality and competitive pricing of these Linyi products also drew buyers from Ghana’s neighboring countries.

Additionally, “Linyi manufacturing” proved instrumental in addressing gaps within the local market. Guo Jingwei, general manager of Shandong Weihong Trade and Economic Co Ltd, stated, “Currently, Ghana lacks efficient chemical products. Our offerings can significantly boost efficiency in sectors like oil drilling, and customers have shown immense interest.” Guo Jingwei’s company secured a cooperation agreement with a Ghanaian oil firm during the exhibition. The oil company now plans to visit China for on-site inspections and further discussions on collaboration.

The exhibition’s success marked merely the beginning of Linyi’s engagement. To gain a deeper market insight, the Linyi merchant delegation explored Accra’s commercial and industrial centers. In Tema, Ghana’s primary industrial port city, the presence of modern industrial parks and robust logistics infrastructure indicated substantial potential for establishing overseas warehouses, streamlining supply chains, and initiating direct investments.

A visit to the Linyi-invested Jinyi Industrial Park, an integrated production and trade zone in Ghana, further bolstered the delegation’s confidence in Linyi businesses expanding across West Africa.

“I want to convey to Linyi that Accra is actively seeking investment, collaboration, and robust partnerships,” remarked Ziyad Musah, presiding member of the Accra Metropolitan Assembly. He extended a warm welcome to Linyi for introducing more quality products and fostering alliances with local markets.

Accra is prepared to partner and collaborate with Linyi enterprises, offering assistance to facilitate Linyi’s market expansion within the city, he added.
