SHENYANG, China, Oct. 29, 2025 – The 2025 Northeast Asia (Shenyang) Conference on Exchange of Professionals and the “Hundred Elites and Hundred Enterprises” Shenyang Tour commenced on October 26 at the Industrial Museum of China.
Under the banner of “Gather Global Talents to Create A Revitalized Future,” the event drew 4,000 employers from Northeast China’s three provinces, Inner Mongolia, and various major and medium-sized Chinese cities. A record 84,000 job openings were presented, making this the largest conference to date.
On its first day, the conference welcomed 38,653 attendees, with companies collecting 98,000 resumes. Huo Bugang, a member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Liaoning Provincial Committee and Secretary of the CPC Shenyang Municipal Committee, stated in his opening remarks that Shenyang has developed five industrial clusters, each valued at 100 billion yuan, focusing on sectors like automobiles, high-end equipment, and aerospace. He also mentioned that the city hosts 45 universities, 56 major research institutes, and 93 national-level science and innovation platforms, and is the base for almost 29,000 tech companies.
Approximately 60% of the total positions offered at the conference—49,000 in all—were in forward-looking fields such as artificial intelligence, advanced materials, new energy, and biomedicine. Electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, and embedded software development were particularly sought-after disciplines.
Shenyang is actively working to become a key international city in Northeast Asia, consistently encouraging high-quality development and aiming to be a leader in the revitalization of both Northeast China and Liaoning Province. The “Shenyang Talent Initiative” offers extensive support for talent development, and the city provides ample public services in areas like education, healthcare, and elderly care, along with a thriving environment for “dining, accommodation, transportation, tourism, shopping, and entertainment”.
