Silverella Introduces ESG-Focused Incontinence Underwear, Certified PFAS-Free, OEKO-TEX, and Produced in an FDA-Registered Facility

This New York–Seoul venture creatively blends silver yarn, bamboo, and advanced 3M quick-dry technology to offer women comfort and renewed dignity.

SEOUL, KOREA, Oct. 02, 2025 – Silverella, a women’s health startup founded by entrepreneur Baik, today unveiled its new line of patent-pending incontinence underwear. These garments are specifically designed for women seeking eco-conscious, comfortable, and discreet solutions. The collection is produced in an FDA-registered facility and boasts certifications including OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 Class 2, Amfori BSCI, and confirmed PFAS-Free status through Intertek/SGS testing. The debut is planned for November 2025, commencing with a crowdfunding initiative within Korea.

With Silverella, Baik continues her commitment to addressing the often-overlooked challenge of incontinence. Over 400 million women globally face bladder leakage, yet suitable options remain scarce. Silverella’s design, rooted in ESG principles, incorporates:

  • Proprietary silver yarn integrated at the fiber stage to provide antimicrobial benefits.
  • Bamboo viscose layers ensuring superior absorption and effective odor neutralization.
  • A 3M Scotchgard™ finish for rapid drying and stain resistance.
  • A PFAS-Free waterproof barrier, independently validated by third parties.

Baik’s career path includes serving as a CPA at KPMG and holding finance roles at Deutsche Bank on Wall Street, before transitioning to a CFO position at a Hong Kong-based global manufacturing firm. Her prior venture, Trendix, earned recognition as a “Best Period Underwear” by The New York Times and was featured in Forbes after quickly surpassing its Kickstarter funding goal in just four days. Trendix also made significant global donations, exceeding USD 150,000 in product value.

“Silverella represents more than just a piece of clothing; it’s about upholding dignity in daily existence,” stated Baik. “We are committed to combining proven safety standards with mindful design to empower women worldwide.”
