Adajar faces Al Bousheiri in UAE Warriors

AFTER losing the biggest fight of his career, URCC welterweight champion John Adajar looks to bounce back as he faces Kuwaiti fighter Abdulla Al Bousheiri in UAE Warriors 33 on Sept. 17 at the Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi, UAE.The 26-year-old Adajar was given a huge opportunity to fight in the Road to UFC show in Singapore, which was one of two preliminary shows in the days leading to UFC 275.Adajar fought Han Seul Kim and was submitted via an arm triangle in the opening round. Adajar was riding a six-fight winning streak before that loss.Al Bousheiri, on the other hand, has already fought four bouts in UAE Warriors, wherein he’s 2-2.Al Bousheiri is coming off a split decision loss to Badreddine Diani last year.Adajar is 6-2 with four wins by knockout, while Al Bousheiri is 8-3 with six wins by knockout and the other two victories by submission.Veteran Arvin Chan (7-8) returns from a long layoff and also makes his UAE Warriors debut against undefeated Lebanese prospect Adel Ibrahim.After an awful 1-8 start to his career, Chan is on an impressive streak winning his last six contests. He scored a first round stoppage of Patrick Dos Santos in his last fight in 2019 in URCC 77.Ibrahim is still new in the pro ranks and made his pro debut in 2020. He won back-to-back fights in UAE Warriors, with his latest win, a first round knockout of Reda Maroufi in March.Also seeing action in the same show is Filipino female striker Coline Biron (2-1).She’s taking on Turkish wrestler Aysun Erge (2-0).
