Bernaldez TKOs Suarez in US ring

Mark Bernaldez logged his second straight victory on American soil after a sixth round technical knockout of Hector Suarez on March 27, 2021 at the Media Pro Studios in Medley, Florida, USA.

The fight started out with both boxers exchanging heavy blows.

Suarez started to rally in the third round and landed some combinations on Bernaldez, who was pinned along the ropes.

Bernaldez stunned Suarez with a heavy right, but Suarez continued to be aggressive and throw punches in bunches.

Suarez started to get cocky in the fifth round and lowered his hands and danced around the ring.

Bernaldez, however, kept his composure and rocked Suarez with a huge left hook followed by a right straight in the sixth round.

Suarez also landed his biggest punch in the round with a counter lead left uppercut that landed flush on Bernaldez’s head.

But Bernaldez was patient and landed a huge overhand right that backed Suarez. He followed it up with a right straight that dropped Suarez on his back.

Suarez beat the count, but Sam Burgos felt that the Mexican was unfit to continue and stopped the fight in the 2:31 mark of the sixth round.

Bernaldez, who trains in Miami under the watchful eye of Cuban trainer Osmiri “Moro” Fernandez, improved to 22-4 with 16 knockouts, while Suarez dropped to 12-13-2 with six knockouts. (EKA)
