Dec. 26 declared special (non-working) day

THE day after Christmas has been declared a special (non-working) day throughout the country, the Office of the Press Secretary said Thursday, December 22, 2022.

Through Proclamation 115 issued on Thursday, President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. declared Monday, Dec. 26, 2022, a special (non-working) day to give families a longer weekend to get together and celebrate the holiday.

The Department of Labor and Employment has been directed to issue the appropriate circular to implement Proclamation 115 for the private sector. (CTL)
