The Dolphinz snatched the solo lead in the standings after they defeated the Stallions, 101-93, in the BadBoyz Basketball Season 12 last Saturday at the Alta Vista Golf & Country Club basketball court.
Vernon Legaspi scorched the Stallions’ defense for 29 points as the Dolphinz improved to 6-2, good for the best record in the league.
Meanwhile, the Pandas tripped the Vipers, 83-72, to gain a share of second place in the standings. Fred Anabieza filled the stat sheet up with 24 points, six rebounds, two assists, and two steals as the Pandas and Vipers now share identical 5-3 records.
The Sharks also got the best of the Panthers, 80-64, for their third victory in eight matches. Kirby Navarro had 17 points to lead the way for the Panthers.
