More motorcycle owners now allowed to use CCLEX

THE Cebu Cordova Link Expressway Corp. (CCLEC) on Wednesday announced that 110cc motorcycles (per piston engine displacement in the certificate of registration) are now allowed to use Cebu-Cordova Link Expressway (CCLEX) starting Sept. 14, 2022.The lowering of engine displacement from 125cc to 110cc is to answer the clamor of motorcycle users and make the expressway more inclusive and accessible to more road users, CCLEC said.“The decision also came after careful consideration and simulation inside the CCLEX. Additional safety features were also installed on the expressway,” the firm said in a statement.Motorcycles with engine displacements of 110cc to 399cc are considered under Vehicle Class 1M. Their toll rate is P60.Owners of 110cc motorcycles can now start to get their CCLEX RFID (radio-frequency identification) at the CCLEX Customer Service Centers near the Toll Plaza, Anjo World in Minglanilla, and Landers Superstore in Cebu City for free. Walk-ins are accepted.Owners are encouraged to reload their CCLEX RFID account using the MPT DriveHub, which drivers can download at https://qrco.de/DriveHubPR-1, or at the CCLEX Customer Service Centers for a faster and seamless expressway experience.
