A CEBU graduate placed sixth in the January 2021 Medical Technologist Licensure Examination, the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announced Monday, February 8, 2021.
1. Southwestern University graduate enters top 10
Salvador Cabrigas Sampayan Jr. of Southwestern University (SWU) placed sixth in the examination with a score of 89.50 percent.
2. Tacloban graduate takes No. 1 spot
Fred Lawrence Delantar Samante of St. Scholastica’s College-Tacloban was ranked first with a rating of 91.40 percent. Angelo Pansoy Huliganga of Far Eastern University-Nicanor Reyes Medical Foundation (FEU-NRMF) is in second place with a score of 91.20 percent and Tiffany Jane Bautista Cabildo of the Medical College of Northern Philippines in third with 90 percent.
3. Other graduates who entered the top 10
Also in the top 10 are Bonifacio Sinnung Coloma (4th, FEU-NRMF, 89.80 percent), Angelica Mae Bautista Aguilar (5th, Saint Louis University, 89.60 percent), Jacque Andrei Vergara Ramos (7th, Saint Paul University-Tuguegarao, 89.30 percent), Clarisse Althea Deodato Adduru (8th,Cagayan State University-Andrews Campus [CSU-AC] , 89 percent), Raisa Manzano Mirza (8th, University of the East Ramon Magsaysay Memorial Medical Center, 89 percent), Tom Kairo Tallud Pacquing (9th, CSU-AC, 88.90 percent), Albright Dew Banan Baua (10th, CSU-AC, 88.80 percent), Princess Erica Bonete Garcia (10th, University of Perpetual Help System-Laguna, 88.80 percent) and Nathanielle Mae Umpar Rosal (10th, FEU-NRMF, 88.80 percent).
4. Cebu schools in top performing schools
Velez College in Cebu City along with Saint Louis University in Baguio City ranked first among the top performing schools in the exam, with 100 percent of their examinees passing.
Ranking third is SWU, with 80.09 percent of its examinees passing the exam.
5. Around 68% of examinees passed the exam
The PRC announced that 1,919 out of 2,835 passed the Medical Licensure Examination given by the Board of Medical Techonlogy in the cities of Manila, Baguio, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Legazpi, Lucena, Pampanga, Tacloban, Tuguegarao and Zamboanga in January 2021.
