Unveiling hidden truths: A journey through the mystics’ intuitive art

“There is something mystical about art that goes beyond the surface — pieces that draw us in, enchant us and invite us to explore the hidden depths within.”

Such was the case with the latest exhibit at Robinsons Galleria Cebu, where six talented artists have come together to take us on a journey of divination, Feng Shui and intuition.

From architect Judith Marie’s intricate abstracts to Ellen Paola’s dreamlike paintings, the artists have their own unique style and symbolism, creating a rich tapestry of themes and emotions. It’s an exhibit that challenges us to look beyond what we see, to delve into the realms of the unknown and to embrace the magic that lies within.

The art world is often seen as a space for creative expression and aesthetic pleasure, but the “Beyond the Surface” exhibit at Galleria goes deeper than that. The exhibit is a multi-artist showcase that delves into the spiritual realm of destiny, intuition and hidden truths. Each artist brings his or her own unique perspective and style to the table, resulting in an exhibit that is both thought-provoking and visually stunning.

Feng Shui Master Judith is a prominent figure in the exhibit, with over 10 artworks on display showcasing the 10 different types of people according to Chinese astrology. Known as day masters, each painting corresponds to a different type, including Yin Metal, Yang Wood and Yin Water, to name a few.

BaZi, a destiny reading system tool, is used to uncover your potential and determine your day master type. Her art serves as a symbolism for each day master type, with the intention of helping everyone understand themselves and change their destiny.

In contrast, Patrick Kent’s art has no story — it is an intuitive abstract expression of the chaos in his head. Each line and brushstroke come from his intuition and the meaning of the art depends on the viewer. His black and white pieces symbolize the ups and downs of his life, as he goes through stages of light and dark, death and rebirth. Kent’s art serves as a mirror for people to see themselves in, a way to go beyond what is already known and to explore the mysteries of the unconscious mind.

Architect Judith Marie’s artwork reflects her subconscious mind. She taps into her intuition to create pieces that have no specific goal or purpose. Her art is meant to provide a new perspective each time it is viewed and she believes that each piece has a soulmate in the audience. Her artwork goes beyond the surface level and taps into people’s intuition and subconscious.

Joy Carpio’s abstract watercolor pieces showcase the deeper parts of herself, going beyond what is seen on the surface. Her artwork delves into emotions and hidden flaws, expressing what is inside no matter how alien or different it may seem.

Similarly, architect Archie Sanchez’s series of an astronaut’s journey reflects his personal journey of navigating through his mind and going beyond what he knows now to be something more. Journeying to re-embrace the parts of himself that have been buried deep and letting them out again into the world.

Ellen Paola’s artwork is heavily influenced by her spiritual and Hindu practices. She showcases the infinite space of potential in a person through her use of circles, which represent the birthing place of everything. As a psychic and tarot reader, her artwork goes beyond what people already know and touches on their intuition and spiritual practices.

“Beyond the Surface: The Mystic’s Journey in Unveiling Hidden Truths of Divination, Feng Shui and Intuition” is not your typical art exhibit. It goes beyond what meets the eye and delves into the deeper parts of our existence. Each artist showcased their unique perspective on how to go beyond the surface level, whether it’s through destiny reading, tapping into one’s intuition, or expressing one’s emotions.

This exhibit is an invitation for everyone to understand themselves better and realize that there is a way to change their destiny, understand deeper parts of oneself and tap into each person’s subconscious and intuition. Once you take a look into their art, maybe you will also tap into the deeper parts of yourself and let them out into the world. Understand yourself and go beyond.
