Home medical service launches healthcare delivery app

HOMELAB PH, a mobile app by the Aclan Group of Companies, provides access to medical services at home, regardless of a patient’s coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) status.

“We served and treated COVID patients at home, especially during the surge. We do not discriminate,” said John Paul Aclan, chief executive officer of the Aclan Group of Companies.

Launched Nov. 25, the app’s range of diagnostic services include imaging technology like X-rays and ultrasound, and laboratory testing for COVID-19, hematology, thyroid, hormonal, microscopy and microbiology, and immunology-serology, among others.

Users can also book a telehealth consultation or a home visit with a nearby doctor, or check for the closest HomeLab clinic to their area, open 24/7.

“We want to immediately deliver and position ourselves to get services to our patients,” Mr. Aclan said. “Right now, if you can order anything quickly from Shopee and Lazada, why can’t you ask for the doctor to visit you at home for your needs?”

The service is available in Metro Manila, Batangas, Pampanga, Tarlac, Bulacan, Mindoro, and Palawan. The group plans to extend its service nationwide through partnerships with public and private institutions and local government units.

Dr. John Michael Gerard A. Abenojar, medical director of HomeLab, shared that the services can be customized to fit individuals, families, and corporations.

“We developed our own health card targeting SMEs [small and medium enterprises] and manpower agencies,” he said.

The cost of the services varies depending on the doctors themselves, with specialists and home visits commanding premium fees.

HomeLab also has an operating room complex in Maginhawa, Quezon City, for aesthetic and minor to moderate surgeries.

The HomeLab PH app is free on iOS and Android. For more information, visit its official website, or Facebook and Instagram pages. — Brontë H. Lacsamana
