American authorities extensively censored the images and emphasized that inclusion in the collection does not indicate any misconduct

Thousands of documents disclosed by the US Justice Department offer a thorough and frequently disturbing view of materials compiled during federal investigations of the deceased financier and convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

The contains photographs, telephone logs, interview transcripts, grand jury materials, travel records, and internal investigation documents. Numerous files are heavily redacted, and some had previously been released through court cases, freedom-of-information requests, or earlier congressional disclosures.

A substantial part of the release comprises images seized from Epstein’s homes and properties. One collection of photos appears to capture an FBI search of Epstein’s Manhattan home. Other folders include photographs from a beachfront property, thought to be Epstein’s Little Saint James island.
