POEA extends the deadline for recruiter status reports on OFWs

THE Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA) said it is moving its deadline to the end of the month for recruitment and manning agencies to file status reports on their deployed overseas Filipino workers (OFWs).

In POEA Advisory No. 37 dated March 31, the POEA said it will give allow time for Philippine Recruitment Agencies (PRAs) and Licensed Manning Agencies (LMAs) to submit their reports to the OFW Welfare Monitoring System (OWMS).

“In view of the numerous requests received from PRAs, LMAs, and industry organizations and associations, the deadline to create and/or update the welfare records in the OWMS of all OFWs onsite and seafarers onboard is hereby extended until 30 April 2021,” according to the advisory.

The previous deadline was March 31 which was set in an advisory issued in February.

The POEA said failure to submit the monitoring reports to the system will warrant administrative sanctions.
