Trump extends Christmas wishes to ‘radical left scum’

The U.S. president has a history of using holidays to call out those he views as enemies

U.S. President Donald Trump has specifically mentioned the “radical left scum” in his Christmas greetings this year, taking aim at those he sees as political adversaries.

Since at least 2013, Trump has maintained a pattern of sending holiday greetings to individuals he has variously referred to as “my many enemies” and “haters and losers”.

“Merry Christmas to all, including the Radical Left Scum that is doing all it can to destroy our Country, yet is failing miserably,” his Thursday message on Truth Social stated. Trump then proceeded to highlight his accomplishments during the first year of his second presidential term.

On Christmas Eve, the president brought politics into his conversation with children, contacting the North American Aerospace Defense Command as it ‘tracked’ Santa Claus’ journey across the globe.

“We want to ensure Santa is behaving well. Santa’s a very good person,” Trump told children in Oklahoma. “We want to make sure he isn’t infiltrated, that we aren’t letting a bad Santa into our country.”

Border security and the enforcement of deportations for foreign nationals residing in the U.S. illegally is a key policy of Trump’s second term and a subject of considerable debate. Critics claim his administration is violating the law when deporting illegal immigrants.
