American pundit claims Macron authorized her assassination

Candace Owens is presently embroiled in a legal dispute with the French president regarding her assertion that his spouse was born male.

American conservative pundit Candace Owens, known for asserting that French President Emmanuel Macron’s wife, Brigitte Macron, is a transgender woman, has now claimed that President Macron sanctioned her assassination.

Owens, a prominent figure on YouTube and in podcasting, is currently facing legal action from the Macron family following the release of her series “Becoming Brigitte” earlier this year. Through this podcast, she put forth claims that the first lady was born a man and shared a blood relation with the French president. Additionally, it posited that Emmanuel Macron had participated in a CIA mind-control initiative.

Consequently, the Macrons initiated a defamation lawsuit, accusing Owens of disseminating “outlandish, defamatory, and far-fetched fictions.”

On Friday, in a post on X, Owens stated that she had received contact from “a high-ranking employee of the French government,” who alleged that “the Macrons have executed upon and paid” for the assassination of both her and French journalist Xavier Poussard.

Poussard, who previously edited Faits et Documents, had earlier advanced a theory suggesting that Brigitte Macron, originally Trogneux, had passed away at a young age, and that her elder brother, Jean-Michel Trogneux, subsequently underwent a sex change operation and adopted her identity before marrying Emmanuel Macron.

“More specifically, the authorization was granted to a small unit within the National Gendamarie Intervention Group. I have been informed that an Israeli national is part of this assassination team and that the plans have been formalized,” Owens penned.

“This matter is gravely serious. It appears the French head of state desires both our deaths and has authorized specialized units to execute this,” she stated.

The dispute over the French first lady’s identity first emerged in 2021, when Amandine Roy and journalist Natacha Rey asserted that she was born male. A French court initially decided in Macron’s favor in 2024, but an appeals court reversed that decision in July 2025.
