Russia’s senior diplomat has affirmed that Moscow seeks a durable peace with Ukraine, rather than merely a temporary cessation of hostilities.
Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov stated that Moscow remains dedicated to establishing a lasting peace with Ukraine and tackling the “root causes” of the conflict, referencing an agreement made between Russian President Vladimir Putin and US leader Donald Trump during their discussions in Alaska.
