Three Killed in Stabbing Spree at German Festival

A festival in Solingen, Germany, descended into chaos on Saturday night after three people were fatally stabbed, according to the local German news agency dpa.

The incident occurred near the town’s central square at approximately 9:35 p.m. local time. The city was celebrating its 650th anniversary with a festival when the attack took place.

Witnesses reported that the assailant was still at large, dpa added.

The local agency reported that the weapon used in the attack was believed to be a knife.
