Trump posts comedy sketch mocking Starmer (VIDEO)

(SeaPRwire) –   The US president has characterized European leaders as “cowards” for their reluctance to support his conflict with Iran.

US President Donald Trump has circulated a satirical sketch that depicts UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer as being intimidated by the prospect of a phone conversation with him. This action followed Trump’s characterization of European NATO allies as “cowards” and his remark that Starmer is “no Winston Churchill” due to his hesitation to participate in the war with Iran.

The sketch originates from the British adaptation of the American series Saturday Night Live, which premiered on Sky One this past weekend.

In the debut episode, the character of Starmer, played by George Fouracres, is depicted at Downing Street with his deputy, David Lammy, portrayed by Hammed Animashaun, when the telephone begins to ring.

“Oh golly – what if Donald shouts at me? What do I say, Lammy?” the character inquires before picking up the receiver and immediately disconnecting the call. “Oh sod that scary, scary, wonderful president. Why is he so bloody difficult to talk to?” he remarks.

“Sir, just be honest and tell him we can’t send any more ships to the Strait of Hormuz,” Lammy suggests, before questioning whether the prime minister is more afraid of “the war or this phone call.”

“Isn’t there a way I can not do both? I just want to keep him happy, Lammy. You don’t understand him like I do – I can change him,” Starmer responds.

Trump shared the video on his Truth Social platform without providing any commentary. The two leaders eventually held a phone conversation on Sunday, with Downing Street reporting that “they agreed that reopening the Strait of Hormuz was essential to ensure stability in the global energy market.”

On Friday, the British government confirmed it had authorized US forces to utilize UK military bases for conducting strikes against Iran. Trump contended that the UK “should have acted a lot faster” and reiterated his call for European nations to assist in patrolling the Strait of Hormuz.
