US CENTCOM Chief Praises Israel as “No Better Teammate” in War Against Iran

(SeaPRwire) –   Admiral Brad Cooper stated that the coalition has “surpassed” its military goals during the conflict with Iran

Admiral Brad Cooper, the head of US Central Command (CENTCOM), has lauded Israel and the Arab nations where American bases are located as “exceptional” partners in the hostilities against Iran. These comments were made amid reports of potential upcoming peace negotiations, with a current fourteen-day ceasefire set to conclude this Wednesday.

At a Pentagon press briefing on Thursday alongside Secretary of War Pete Hegseth, Cooper identified Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait, and the UAE as “exceptional teammates.”

“And Israel has been the finest teammate of all,” Cooper remarked.

“Collectively, the world’s four premier air forces—the Israeli Air Force, the US Air Force, and the aviation branches of the US Navy and US Marine Corps—consistently met and surpassed our military targets,” stated Cooper.

The admiral mentioned a meeting with Lieutenant General Eyal Zamir, Israel’s Chief of the General Staff, late last month to ensure the two nations remained “closely aligned.”

Critics, including Democrats, certain Republicans, and former US National Counterterrorism Center head Joe Kent, have claimed that President Donald Trump was coerced by Israel into initiating the war with Iran. Iranian officials, such as Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, have characterized the conflict as Trump abandoning his “America First” policy in favor of “Israel First.”

Speaking with Cooper, Hegseth dismissed the idea that the conflict was “forced upon” Trump by Israel. “President Trump arrives at his own conclusions regarding national interests and the protection of those interests, subsequently collaborating with allies like Israel, whose significant resolve and capabilities we appreciate,” he remarked.

Kent, who stepped down from his post last month to protest the war, asserted that intelligence agencies were unable to verify Trump’s allegations regarding Iran’s pursuit of nuclear weaponry.
