Video Shows Airport Worker Assaulted by Angry Passenger

A video shows a passenger at Kuala Lumpur International Airport’s Terminal 1 physically assaulting an airport employee.

The altercation, which occurred on November 10, was apparently triggered by a flight check-in delay.

The footage depicts the passenger, wearing a green shirt and pants, repeatedly striking the employee, who attempts to defend themselves.

The attack culminates in a forceful punch that knocks the employee backward.

Security personnel intervene, separating the two individuals after a verbal exchange.

According to KLIA District Police Chief Assistant Commissioner Azman Shari’at, the fight resulted from a disagreement over the flight registration delay, causing minor injuries to the employee.

As of November 16, no arrests have been made.

A separate incident involved an unruly passenger on a flight from Milwaukee to Texas who was apprehended after assaulting a crew member and attempting to open a cabin door.

The Federal Aviation Administration reports 512 investigations, 402 enforcement actions, and $7.5 million in fines levied against disruptive airline passengers in 2023.
