Iran’s Supreme Court: Two Judges Fatally Shot, Gunman Dead

A gunman killed two Supreme Court judges and injured a third on Saturday.

The attack occurred in Tehran, according to the judiciary’s Mizan news agency.

The slain judges were identified as Ayatollahs Mohammad Moghiseh and Ali Razini.

Following the killings outside the Supreme Court, the assailant committed suicide, the agency reported.

Reports indicate that a judge’s bodyguard also sustained injuries during the incident.

The perpetrator’s motive remains unknown.

Opposition sources have previously alleged that Moghiseh was involved in the sentencing of individuals they considered political prisoners.
