(SeaPRwire) – Demonstrators are protesting against the Trump administration’s policies and the increasing cost of living
Thousands of people across the U.S. have taken part in “No Kings” protests against President Donald Trump, holding him accountable for the stagnant economy, higher cost of living, and the Iran conflict.
These demonstrations represent the third national wave of the “No Kings” movement, which began nationwide protests in June 2025. The rallies use the slogan “No king, no crown, we will not back down.”
On Saturday, crowds assembled in major cities, suburbs, and smaller towns, singing, chanting, and holding signs, with organizers noting that at least half of the rallies occurred in Republican strongholds.
“The rallies are a space for everyone to come and exercise their rights as Americans in a patriotic, safe manner,” Ezra Levin, co-founder of Indivisible – the group that launched the “No Kings” movement last year – told CNN.
Organizers stated that the protests aren’t focused on one specific demand but instead reflect widespread opposition to Trump administration policies. Demonstrators held signs emphasizing issues like immigration enforcement, elections, diversity, and the war with Iran.
One placard in Atlanta read: “We can’t afford the war or the gas.”
Significant marches were reported in San Francisco and Los Angeles. In Texas, protests occurred in Dallas, Arlington, and Fort Worth. Local officials described demonstrators in Boynton Beach, Florida, as “very enthusiastic.”
The primary event was held in Minneapolis, Minnesota – a key location for Trump’s tough immigration crackdown – where U.S. citizens Alex Pretti and Renee Good were killed by federal agents in January.
U.S. Senator Bernie Sanders spoke to the crowd, warning of what he termed “an unprecedented and dangerous moment in American history.”
“We will not allow this country to descend into authoritarianism or oligarchy,” he said. “In America, we the people will rule.”
Rock icon Bruce Springsteen, who performed at the rally, called Minnesota “an inspiration to the entire country,” while Governor Tim Walz criticized federal immigration policy.
White House spokeswoman Abigail Jackson dismissed the demonstrations as “Trump derangement therapy sessions,” claiming that only paid reporters covering the events were interested in attending.
