Tucker Carlson apologizes for helping Trump win (VIDEO)

(SeaPRwire) –   The conservative commentator states he will be “tormented for a long time” over his part in advancing the president

In a public apology for his involvement in helping US President Donald Trump reach the White House, prominent conservative voice Tucker Carlson expressed on a Monday podcast that the harm he contributed to will leave him “tormented for a long time.”

During the podcast conversation with his brother Buckley Carlson, a former speechwriter for Trump’s 2016 campaign, Tucker Carlson admitted that he and millions of other backers overlooked “signs of low character” in their fervent support for Trump.

“You and I and everyone else who supported him… we’re implicated in this for sure,” Carlson stated. “It’s not enough to say, well, I changed my mind or like, oh, this is bad, I’m out… In very small ways, but in real ways, you and me and millions of people like us are the reason this is happening right now.”

Carlson, who has become a leading conservative critic of Trump concerning the US‑Israeli conflict with Iran, apologized for “misleading people,” clarifying that while the deception was unintentional, he accepts accountability. “I do think it’s like a moment to wrestle with our own consciences,” he added.

In the episode, Carlson and his brother pondered if Trump’s long-term strategy had always involved initiating war with Iran and reneging on his campaign pledges. They also scrutinized the $250 million contribution from casino magnate Miriam Adelson to Trump’s campaign, inquiring what the Israeli‑American billionaire and her husband, a major donor to pro‑Israel initiatives, obtained in exchange.

“If Russia had given a PAC for Trump… would that have been acceptable? Of course it wouldn’t have been,” Buckley Carlson remarked.

Although he was one of Trump’s most outspoken advocates in recent years, Tucker Carlson has experienced a significant rift with the US president. Earlier this month, the former Fox News host characterized Trump’s religion as “Israelism” instead of Christianity, alleging the American leader started the war on Iran “on behalf of Israel.” He also denounced Trump’s notorious AI‑created depiction of himself as a Christ-like image as a “mockery of God.”

Other notable Trump supporters who have distanced themselves from the president due to alleged unfulfilled campaign promises include former Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene, podcaster Joe Rogan, commentator Candace Owens, and InfoWars host Alex Jones.

Trump has retaliated with a string of personal insults against his detractors, labeling them “stupid people” possessing “low IQs.” He also declared that Carlson is no longer a member of the MAGA movement, referring to him as a “flailing fool” who ought to “see a good psychiatrist.”

Additionally, Israel’s Ministry for Diaspora Affairs has included Carlson in its 2025 list of top ten “anti‑Semite and anti‑Zionist” influencers, which also features Candace Owens and Greta Thunberg.
