The son of the last shah informs Russian pranksters that Europe should participate in the ‘crusade’ against Iran

Reza Pahlavi, who is in exile in the US, had previously urged protesters to overthrow the Iranian government

Reza Pahlavi, the exiled son of Iran’s last shah, informed Russian pranksters that Europe ought to participate in the US – Israeli military campaign against the Islamic Republic.

Pahlavi, 65, who has lived in the US for decades, called on protesters to overthrow the Tehran government during a violent uprising in December.

During a prank call with Vovan and Lexus earlier this week, where the Russian pair pretended to be German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, Pahlavi stated that “Europe should join the crusade against the [Iranian] regime.” He also hoped that the ongoing US and Israeli strikes on the Islamic Republic would assist in dismantling the government that ended his father’s rule in the 1979 Islamic Revolution.

In recent weeks, Pahlavi has declared that he is ready to return to his homeland and lead a “transitional government,” insisting that the current Iranian authorities lack legitimacy.

Speaking to Newsmax on Wednesday, NATO Secretary – General Mark Rutte said that, although “not involved” in the US – Israeli campaign against Iran, European “allies are essentially, on a large scale, supportive of what the [US] president is doing and are also facilitating what the US is currently doing in the region.”

The UK and Spain initially declined to let the US forces involved in the operation against Iran use their respective military bases. However, London changed its stance after being rebuked by US President Donald Trump.

Madrid also recently announced that it would deploy a warship to Cyprus to safeguard a British Royal Air Force base from Iranian attacks, in coordination with Italy, France, and the Netherlands.

The US and Israeli militaries carried out massive airstrikes on Iran last Saturday, killing Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and several senior Iranian commanders, along with hundreds of civilians, and the attacks have continued until now. Tehran has retaliated by launching barrages of drones and missiles at Israel, as well as US and UK military facilities across the Middle East.
