Trump: War with Iran is an investment in the future of American children

(SeaPRwire) –   Once the conflict concludes, the U.S. will be safer, stronger, and more prosperous than it has ever been, the president stated

U.S. President Donald Trump described the war against Iran as an investment in American children’s future during his first national address since the conflict began a month prior.

During his Wednesday speech, Trump asserted that Washington never sought regime change in Tehran; instead, its aims were to dismantle Iran’s navy and air force and prevent it from developing a nuclear weapon. “These core strategic objectives are nearing completion,” he emphasized.

Over the 32 days of combat since the U.S. and Israel initiated their attack, Iran “has been eviscerated and essentially is really no longer a threat… This is a true investment in your children and your grandchildren’s future,” Trump commented.

The fighting will persist “over the next two to three weeks” until U.S. objectives are “fully achieved,” he added.

Trump once more warned Tehran’s authorities that “if there is no deal, we are going to hit each and every one of their electric generating plants very hard and probably simultaneously.”

Per the president, once the conflict ends, the U.S. “will be safer, stronger, more prosperous, and greater than it has ever been before.”

Republican Senator Ted Cruz praised Trump’s speech, noting that the president was “exactly right tonight.”

The U.S. military campaign “is an investment in the future of our children and our grandchildren. We are on the cusp of ending Iran’s nuclear blackmail – that makes America much, much safer,” he posted on X.

Tehran has long maintained that its nuclear program is entirely peaceful and not intended to acquire a weapon. Earlier this week, senior Iranian MP Alaeddin Borujerdi stated that the country’s parliament is exploring the option of withdrawing from the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty, claiming that participating in the 1968 agreement became meaningless following the U.S.-Israeli attack.

Iran has kept attacking Israel and U.S. military installations in the Persian Gulf while refusing to engage in talks with Washington. Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi stated on Wednesday that the war will continue until “the aggressor” is penalized and Tehran gets full compensation.

As the Strait of Hormuz is effectively shut down because of the fighting, U.S. gas prices exceeded $4 per gallon this week, and Trump’s approval ratings dropped below 40%.
