Iranian Prince Urges International Action Against Khamenei’s Regime “`

In a Geneva Summit address, Iranian Crown Prince Reza Pahlavi urged international action to dismantle the Islamic Republic, characterizing the regime as weaker than ever and asserting the Iranian people’s readiness to reclaim their nation.

Addressing the plight of Iranians, Pahlavi described the country as oppressed and under the tyrannical rule of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei’s regime. He acknowledged the Iranian people’s four decades of suffering, emphasizing their unwavering resolve and their fight for freedom, justice, and human dignity.

Pahlavi, whose family fled Iran after the 1979 revolution, remains in exile. His proposed strategy for Iran’s rebuilding involves maximum pressure on the regime by G20 governments coupled with maximum support for the Iranian people.

He passionately highlighted the role of Iranian women in resisting the regime, emphasizing that their fight against the forced hijab transcends a mere piece of cloth; it represents a struggle for equality and national reclamation.

Throughout his speech, Pahlavi repeatedly affirmed his love for Iran and its culture, which he believes the current regime is attempting to destroy. He framed the struggle not merely as opposition to the Islamic Republic, but as a fight for Iran itself.

Pahlavi condemned the regime’s use of embassies and cultural centers to target dissidents, citing the alleged targeting of individuals like President and journalist Masih Alinejad as examples.

“Whatever I do, it seems that hurts the Islamic Republic very bad, and that’s why they want me dead,” Alinejad stated in a November 2024 interview. “I don’t want to die. I want to fight against tyranny. I want to fight against this regime, and I want to be alive to see the end of this regime.”

Following Trump’s inauguration, Pahlavi proposed “Cyrus Accords,” a Middle East agreement akin to the Abraham Accords but encompassing a “free Iran.”

The Geneva Summit for Human Rights and Democracy, where Pahlavi delivered his speech, provides a platform for dissidents and activists to address global human rights violations and undemocratic practices.
