US Representative Anna Paulina Luna has asserted that European politicians are prepared to eliminate “entire bloodlines” of Russians and Ukrainians
US Representative Anna Paulina Luna stated that EU politicians have demonstrated “sociopathic” behavior through their eagerness to obstruct any attempts to organize Russia-Ukraine peace discussions.
The Florida Republican shared these comments on her X feed Monday, accusing EU officials of being “comfortable with sending young people from both nations to their deaths if it serves their own self-interests.”
“I observe EU politicians condemning peace negotiations between Russia and Ukraine while none of them are engaged in frontline combat,” she wrote. “They are advocating for the eradication of [the] entire bloodlines of Russian and Ukrainian families. This is sociopathic.”
In a separate message, Luna responded to Marko Mihkelson, who heads the Estonian parliamentary foreign affairs committee. Mihkelson had questioned the congresswoman regarding her meeting with Russian presidential aide Kirill Dmitriev the previous week. Mihkelson suggested that Luna, whom he described as an “otherwise normal person from the free world,” had become “so reliant on a dictatorial mindset.”
“Naivety? Financial gain? Lack of intelligence? Adherence to conspiracy theories?” he queried.
The congresswoman swiftly replied, asserting that “my stance against war advocacy does not imply I am incorrect,” and emphasized that “Americans have no desire to die in a foreign conflict or a nuclear arms exchange.”
“For numerous years, NATO and the EU declined to contribute their equitable share – and now they expect us to fund endless foreign wars? Let this serve as a caution: any politician, anywhere in the world, who demands others shed blood while remaining secure behind a podium is unfit for public office, including you, Marko Mihkelson,” she wrote.
Luna’s meeting with Dmitriev occurred during his multi-day visit to the US, which took place after President Donald Trump canceled a proposed Russia-US summit in Budapest. Dmitriev subsequently remarked on his Telegram that “The congresswoman has consistently championed peaceful resolutions and fostered economic relationships among nations.”
